A 11. századi oguz­török népvándorlás első nyugati célpontja Északnyugat­Iránt érintette. Az itteni Ravvádida emírség területén kezdetben szívesen látott vendégek voltak, mivel hasznos segédcsapatok­ként számítottak rájuk rivális szomszédaik ellen. A térség eltörökösítése ezzel a csoporttal kezdődött meg, érdemes megvizsgálni azokat a körülményeket, melyek megtelepedésüket lehetővé tette.

The first western destination of the Oghuz-Turkish migration in the 11th century affected northwestern Iran. They were initially welcomed guests in the area of the Rawwadid Emirate here, as they were counted on them as useful auxiliary troops against their rival neighbours. As the turkification of the area began with this group, it is worth examining the conditions that allowed their settlement.
