A mongol és mandzsu eredetmondát, illetve a múltról alkotott képet elemezve világos struktúrát és szerkezetet találunk. A forrásokból az is világossá válik, hogy egy adott réteg mikor és mi okból kerülhetett a megalkotott múltba. Ez alapján ugyanígy szétbonthatjuk a magyar eredetmondát, és fény derülhet egyegy elemének eredetére és szerepére.

By analysing the Mongolian and Manchu origin stories and their image of the past, we can find a clear, exact structure. It also becomes clear when the different layers were added to the story and why. Based on this, we can dismantle the Hungarian origin story in the same way, and we can reveal the origin and the role each of its elements. Nowadays the relationship between the Huns and Hungarians is still a topic of interest and public debate. In the Hungarian chronicles we can find legends about the Huns, but in the related Mongolian written sources, the “Hun heritage” motif can not be regarded as an ancient element.
